Here are the for and against attack and defence records for this year:
Easts 591 / 300
Brisbane 574 / 379
Nth Qld 587 / 454
The Melbourne Identity 467 / 348
Cronulla 469 / 476
This means that Easts, Brisbane and the Melbourne Identity have scored around 20 more converted tries this season than Cronulla has.
So this shows that Cronulla has significantly less creativity in attack, most of their tries must came from kicks and it shows they cannot handle a defence of the calibre of Easts (300 against) and Brisbane (379 against.) I for one am not entertained by Cronulla's attack looking like waves splashing against Sydney Heads.
I am sick of supporting a team that has never had any real creativity in attack. To win against the teams above them they always have to play above themselves. Too bad Todd Carney imploded. He was the kind of creative half like Thurston Cronulla needs.
Mind you, Innes does very nice work close to the line.
Anyway, by being pessimistic now I reduce my disappointment when they lose!
