I had the privilege of seeing him play live. 1999 World Cup and one of the Ashes. I tell you, he was the Aussie team's talisman. Whenever he came on, there was always a feeling something's going to happen, that the game was about to change because of him. The semifinal match against South Africa in 99 was incredible, I could rewatch that 100 times and still not be bored.

What is shocking is Fifty two and from official statements he died of a heart attack. For such a famous person with so much wealth I don't think he needs to go to Thailand to get laid per some suggested early in this threat. He lived a great life and his achievements is one many would dream of. Warnie would have known he had to change his lifestyle and diet because the signs of heart issues would have been detected years before. It is ashamed he had acknowledged the problem and began to do something about it but unfortunately came about too late. Perhaps it is work or life pressures, but the place he was staying at Samujana Villas, Thailand is luxurious. He would have been there to relax, chill, refresh, recharge and most importantly, stay low key to be himself and not get harass.

Going to miss his side-line commentary like bagging Mitchell Starc during the recent ashes. Proven wrong he turned it into a positive and said it made Starc play better. Legend and be forever remembered as Australia's finest cricketer.

He may have been badly affected by Rod Marsh's passing the day before. A broken heart may be an emotional thing, but emotions can affect a person's physical health if those emotions are strong enough.

Received a pic today of Warnie in a 4 foursome 3 Asian girls one sucking his dick while he was watching the other two get it on. Can’t say if it’s current or old obviously

Obviously comprehension wasn't one of your better subjects at school, and I am not a grumpy old man but someone you would aspire to be. Pity you didn't stay retired. Have a nice day.

More details r coming out this morning suggest he had only arrived in Thailand 24hrs before but was on a 14 day fluid only diet prior. Was trying to lose weight... Was very much a yo yo extreme dieter..

This could have added to the heart attack.

That was Warnie... Extreme, played hard, party harder!!

Did watch him bowl in person a couple of times. Was a magician with the ball for those who know a bit about cricket..

When we go to our GP we are in a vulnerable position because we are inclined to want to be reassured and to put ourselves in their hands and to not be pro-active in advocating for ourselves. You have to be aware of that. Because of this delicate psychological balance the doctors' have even more responsiblity than perhaps even they realise. I am sick of GP's burying their mistakes. It only takes one time for you to get really really sick of it.

So Shane Warne goes to his GP complaining of chest pain. He asks him a few questions and listens wiith his stethoscope, maybe he said it sounds fine and come back if it happens again. In fact Warne should have been referred straight to a specialist for a blood dye test to look for narrowing of the heart arteries. As there obviously was narrowing, then emergency stent work done.

But no, the doctor says just go on a boozy holiday to Thailand instead, that'll fix you. Or at least he doesn't object to it. It is a combination of Shane Warne wanting reassurance he's ok and not being pro-active in advocating for himself. But it is his body, his life, not the doctor's. Mainly it is a doctor yet again burying his mistakes.

The lesson? Listen to the doctor but listen to yourself too.

What’s being white got to do with anything? People go there from all counties to fuck including Arabs Asians everyone man. This line you are taking is cheap and down in the gutter. What’s next are you going to introduce religion into it too?
I also mentioned the picture could be old

I have had my share of success over the years. I have had some bad times as well. I have met and known many successful people over the years, whether they be in business, sport, politics, art, media and so on. The ones I liked the most had grace and humility, unlike yourself. What successful person says 'I am someone you would aspire to be' on an anonymous punting forum, not even knowing the person you said it to? More poo coming from your mouth/keyboard.

As for my original comment, both Warne and Marsh are legends, I just like Marsh more. He is one of the guys that got me into cricket when I was 6 or 7 years old. Comprehend that, Warwick.

We all die at some stage, so if that is how he goes, not a bad way to finish!!

Shane certainly lived a full life. The last person to see him in normal condition in Thailand was a masseuse who came to his room at the Koh Samui resort.

Warney's mistake was to go on a health kick. That's what killed him.
If he kept on boozing and smoking and eating his beloved meat pies he would have put in another good 10 years for sure.

The Thai hospital is insisting and will conduct a post-mortem. There might be some surprises.

Not sure if you're being deadpan, but I think there may be some truth in that. The human body is not designed to be "driven" with sudden changes in direction. Maybe his sudden change in lifestyle caused a big change in something in his body that the other parts of his body was not ready to cope with. Even if that change was good it could turn out to be bad.

No idea if he had fun with the masseuse before he went, but I sure hope he did!

Looks like you are very confused who you are talking to. If you bullshit you need to have a good memory. Have a nice day, I will.

You guys were sensible and science based in the coronovirus threads and although rooter is being jocular this is more serious for we men than covid is. Did you forget what actually killed him? HE WENT TO THE DOCTOR COMPLAINING OF CHEST PAIN! He did the right thing, that is the tragedy of it. BUT THE DOCTOR SENT HIM ON A BOOZY HOLIDAY!

Warne could have had another 25 years of meat pies and booze if he'd had essential, simple, non-surgical treatment. If any good is to come of this you blokes reading this, when it comes to chest pain, must take charge of your own health. Insist.
