Anyway, I was in at Market City doing some shopping and tossed up about going to Babylon after a series of mixed reports. Deciding that a punt takes the good with the bad, I chanced my luck with the 1 hour Korean massage @ $188.
As a Babylon virgin, the initial things I liked were:
No. 1: the discrete entry down a service corridor shared with the amenities. Unless someone was watching that corridor for at least one hour, they probably would have had no idea that people were heading down for such an experience.
No. 2: the service offered by the person at reception; the towel minder in the changing room being very helpful with towels, robes and advice; and the general discretion of the other people visiting there.
I was advised by the receptionist that payment comes at the end and is cash only. Not a problem as I had sufficient cash on-hand.
Heading off to the showers and spa and sauna area, I was quite impressed by the large in-built spa pool and two sauna rooms. After securing one's gear in the decent-sized lockers (it took the clothes, backpack, shoes and a bit of shopping) I headed off for a shower. The towel/robe minder immediately handed me a towel and I go off to rinse off the day's heat and perspiration and felt much better for it. Note to self: Babylon needs larger towels (maybe bath sheets) for the larger cauc men as the poor thing barely fitted around my waist. I was immediately worried about the towel falling off for a full-on show of lily-white cauc boy. Should not have been, as the towel minder was immediately on hand to get me into the robes and pants before heading into the lounge area.
Arriving in the lounge, the first thing hit me it that it was big - really big - as in seating 40 or so! When I walked in, I was the only one there (the staff at the time outnumbered me by five to one). A friendly greeting from the lady handling the allocation of girls and asked me if I'd like a drink before confirming the service I was after. A couple of others walked in afterwards and seated themselves elsewhere in the room. Hence my second favorable point, the discretion of the clients not bunching up and invading one's space. Two large TVs played different content - sports on one and Chinese news on the other.
Visiting on a Friday mid-afternoon, the place was not overly busy in my view and I had a choice of three girls as a walk-in without a reservation or appointment. Not bad...

Very relaxing with the dry heat before having another shower and then getting changed back into clothes and almost regretfully heading back out to the heat of a late Sydney afternoon.
Final payment of the $188 (no tips required) but leaving them with the $200 was gratefully received - hopefully with the extra going to the girl who gave me an amazing experience.
Bottom Line: Yes, Babylon is at the expensive end of town for an adult massage but the decent facilities like the spa and sauna which are freely available for use make up for it. One could easily spend half a day there relaxing in the fairly quiet but discrete surroundings and enjoy a range of services on offer, including foot spas and so forth (at additional cost, of course). Can I recommend it to others: A conditional "Yes" - depending on the time of day and who you get as the masseuse. Personally, I would not want to go there when it is really busy as it may be in the evenings or weekends. Can I recommend No. 500 to the other bros: Based on my first-time experience there, You betcha. Will I be heading back there: quite possibly, but I don't get into the City all that often and there are other places to try out too. Gotta spread the enjoyment.
