A friend of mine send me this link earlier:
https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/preliminary-in-season-estimates.htm
It's from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention from the U.S.A. and their estimation for the 2019-2020 U.S. Flu season:
Flu illness: 38,000,000 to 54,000,000 - from a population of around 330M, that's between 8.4-16.3% of the people
Flu medical visits: 18M - 26M (5.4%-7.8%)
Flu hospitalizations: 400K - 730K (0.12%-0.22%) vs current confirmed cases of Covid19 = 215,003
Flu deaths: 24,000 - 62,000 (6.0%-8.49% of the hospitalized will die !) vs current total deaths in the USA due to Covid19 = 5,102 (2.37% death rate from the infected)
