It'll depend on the type of punter you're dealing with. For example, if a bloke is asking you any of the questions above, he's probably insecure and is looking to be flattered and coddled a bit. Even if he looks like he lives under a bridge, he's probably trying to fish for compliments and positive reinforcement.

On the flip side, some punters are just after a professional experience and are aware that if money wasn't exchanged, you wouldn't touch them with a barge pole (I'm one of these). Based off their answer they are stating the past doesnt really matter because they both equally did the same thing but in a different situation (paying for service/making money from service). Why does it matter because people dont fall in love with each other based off a resume of someones past. It is very unfair that this happens and the client can run away without paying. You then have to be on top of what the bad clients look like to blacklist them.

I guess that is why some ML ask for tips upfront when it is the first time she meets a client. Then subsequent times it is Ok to be paid afterwards.

True. It's much more dangerous for private one. But one shop in Chinatown ( closed now) was robbed before and the manager was injured as well. My friend was there on that day and she was freaked out. Another shop I've worked at sometimes has stolen by clients. I sometimes think about the risk of being killed.
