Since australia now by law will be collecting all metadata from october 13. What choices have some people been making on the use of a VPN and if you do use one what company is it and does it provide good bandwidth/speed.
I'm currently with optus cable and since optus is selling their cable to the NBN, they have enabled QOS on the local connections which sucks, also the netflix effect kills as my 100mbit connection which grinds down to a 4mbit connection.
So, I'm thinking of rolling my own with amazon aws but it does cost alot more $$. Does anyone have any suggestions on what they use?
warning you need to know something about services for these roll your own items.

if you don't want to publicly disclose, then pm'ing is fine :).

p.s. as referral redirects is also a another big source of data leakage and its amazing that the option to parse links into hyperlinks is on automatically by default for user accounts.
