He may have been the front man or rider but he could not have done it with out the support of the American Authororties particularly cycling and then there are the other sports and medical people.

How many other American so called champions are also on drugs? Makes you wonder.

Cycling has always been renowned as the worst sport for drugs, so i think you can look at most of the top and realise at one point or another they have done it. maybe not to the same level though.

IOC ex Drug chief after he retired a few years ago, came out and said that more than 90% of the professional athletes have taken drugs at one point or another to get them where they are or to keep them there. But that the drug tests are always years behind the man made synthetic drugs and the ways to get past the tests. There has been a few docos on all this, it is a shame though that such a hero was pulled down, but i suppose it was going to happen sooner or later.

It's amazing how a disgraced Cyclist can still make millions by baring his sole via the media. May be he doesn't deserved to live in poverty afterall!!

Shame that he lied all these years. Shame also that he's taking the heat while half the peleton was reportedly doing the same as him. Imagine if they investigated horse racing to such a level!!!

The real kicker is his kids have to grow up knowing that daddy is a liar and a cheat.

Give him 5 years ... he'll be a born-again, foot-washing Baptist on a world tour, telling his story to the thousands of suckers who are willing to pay hundreds of dollars to listen to his crap. He'll be a wealthy man again in no time.
