I've been to japan a bunch of times, and some some pretty weird stuff there. Never saw the cuddle booths, mind you the last time I was there was over 10 years ago. You can have a great time there, and everything is available, including thousands of things you've never even thought of. I'd give the cuddle booths a go, sounds nice and wasn't all that pricey either (by japanese standards). I've heard prices of most things have gone down since I was last there (food, property, sex etc)

The Japanese are amazingly friendly people, but there's an underlying mistrust of foreigners caused by bad stereotypes .... e.g. in Japan, there's a widely held belief that all Westerners have AIDS, and the local punters don't want the girls being wrecked by our huge penises. So, any venue that allows foreigners is simply not as well supported by the local punters.

Prices depends. The few soaplands that DO accept gaijin's are expensive, but there are still some places where you can get serviced fairly cheaply too if you know where to look. BJ bars are OK, there's supposed to be one in Kabukichō (Happy Hinomaru) but I never went there .... did go to one right outside the Sugamo JR station, ¥3,000 (AUD $30) for an early 30's average MILF type girl to get her big natural tits out and do a BBBJ to CIM completion. Oh yeah, definitely, if the purpose of the trip is to monger then Japan shouldn't be on the radar, it's LOS or Phils all the way.

If you ever happen to be in Japan for legit business or holiday purposes though, it's worth a flutter, but that's about it.
