Wechat cracking down on shops

Anyone noticed lately some shops have been having problems posting photos on their Wechat?

It seems to be Wechat cracking down on prostitution in general.

Seems like they're banning sexy photos on Moments.
Shops and using new accounts or going to Telegram.
Even Line app got rid of their story function in Australia.

Go to any WeChat channel and you'll see some gory shit like people getting blown up, shot in the head at close range, getting electrocuted, run over by a car/train, falling off a ten story building, being mauled by a lion etc and all that shit is ok... but have a chick showing a bit of cleavage and a well formed camel toe, and that's too fucken offensive and inappropriate, so let's block the content and author. It's fucked, and all the other mainstream social media platforms fall into the same shit bucket.

DWSN is the way forward.

I recently put up a thread on this forum on using wechat and it's vulnerabilities. Turns out I'm just not comfortable enough to use it (plus who knows what data they're able to mine).

Unless you don’t use the internet, all social media can collect your details, it doesn’t have to be from your posts or registration, they can do it through your contacts.

I want to back this.

I recently put up a thread on this forum on using wechat and it's vulnerabilities. Turns out I'm just not comfortable enough to use it (plus who knows what data they're able to mine).

Feedback from shops that I talk to and prevent advertising here are;
- Expensive
- Constantly have out bump other shops rosters, ARs, it's annoying for them
- Time consuming to always be up on the first 3 pages

Unless that changes older running shops will unlikely jump back on.

I think that's normal for them, but they used to post pics and roster, now there's nothing.

Agreed, I thought the WeChat crackdown was on "sexy images" - the names and descriptions are still useful (though not as useful as real photos). Hopefully the tmshops quickly transition to Telegram, sending links to a website with photos or engage with this forum and post rosters and photos.

The number of people accessing WeChat daily is 1.2 Billion. The number in Australia is 800,000. It’d be very easy to filter the Australian portion in less than a minute. I’d say it’s programmed to do such every three months.

I can see LSM posted a QR code for their telegram. Not sure how it will work out but good on them.

I believe there is in the settings where you can un sync your phone contacts. Do that straight away. Also telegram in its function is not much different to whatsapp.
