For those who have been punting for a while, what do you think is the biggest change in the punting scene today compared to 15 years ago? Has it been for the good or bad or has it been pretty much the same?

Not sure if it is better or worse but the change was the introduction and explosion of the R&T industry. Probably happening early than 15 years ago, say 90's, but pulled business out of the cross. Brothels were around but not in the burbs. Now you will find 2 to 3, and sometimes more, R&T in any location anywhere. And without digging too deep FS is much more available than 15 years ago. Some would say it is Asian influence and that is probably right. But you can say that they are just better organised.👍

I keep hearing people say pre-covid was like the golden era of punting with an abundance of high quality girls providng good service at decent prices.

I wouldn't know myself since I only started 6 months ago because I was (and still sort of) a completely hopeless romantic. But sort of regret not punting earlier and only doing so during a CoL crisis.

Agree with tramps. One of the biggest changes since 2009 was Chinese style RNT taking over the market from Korean style ones. I remember that was how I became hooked on PRC girls, still am today!

There was also the "spectacular" debut in the market of the PRC private escort agencies (MOC, bluemoon, MGD, etc), and then their gradual decline mainly thanks to another major change, the equally explosive debut of what are now the major players in the brothel game, the Ginzas and N5M/42G. Both of them pioneered the use of pictures to market the girls, which is another big change from 2009. Before that, it was mostly girls names and descriptions on Syd99.

And of course, Syd99 became Aus99 in 2012. How's that for a big change? Lol...

Saw the exit of some great shops during this time too. 5-star, 1 Blackburn St, Diamonds 81. They were good in 2009, now all gone.

I'd also say that the "landscape" of available girls has changed significantly. Transitioned from the following "mix": Malaysian / Korean -> PRC / Koreans / Thai -> Japanese / Vietnamese / Thai / Korean.

The lack of quality young caucasians girls. There was an abundance of talent going back 6-7yrs ago before onlyfans and other online site gave them the a platform to sell themselves without putting out much work

Not sure if it's the scene that's changed or just my own perception and experience, but it seemed to me 15 years ago you generally had the choice between pretty seedy feeling, low rent brothels or very high end / expensive ones. I think there are more/better middle ground choices available now (though more recently prices are getting high in the 'middle ground' places).

In 2009 I was seeing mostly Chinese girls, it was fairly hard to find Japanese (at least at the places I was going). It is a lot easier to find Japanese girls now (I consider this a good thing ...). Maybe a lot to do with Aus allowing working holiday visas for Japanese nationals and the current recession / weak Yen in Japan.

Abundance of hot Asians before covid opened my eyes into oriental beauties and that completely changed my diet. Now I don't find Caucasians really attractive and unfortunately those Asian hotties have disappeared from the market (Sadly, I am very picky and i dont find every second girl to be quality). Plenty of hit and miss from inexperienced J girls made me quite disappointed at the current scene.

Consequently, I don't punt these days and instead money goes to offset account, shares or other investments.

I would say the quality has been slipping. Probably 1 in 4 is good. Make them a regular. Then your fine.

Pre COVID when I started punting was blown away by the level of service. I still remember at 42G there was K Lily, C Helen etc.

Ginza there was C tiffany, Daisy the pocket rocket and who could forget Star.

During COVID. The variety of girls dropped due to border closures. Things started getting more expensive. The girls that are still working have been working for ages. Services dropped as girls could demand higher pay for lower levels of service. Because of the limited amount of new girls working I noticed shops were reluctant to fire girls even if they're consistently bad.

Post COVID. Prices still higher than precovid but girls are coming in abundance. Economies are shit meaning more girls working. Service levels are starting to improve and shops can now be picky.

They can fire girls if they don't perform and service levels pick up. Rise of some private operators that I've been shocked to be very good like PCD and A4UClub.

Quality is worse for sure. I'd say the golden period was around 2011 to 2018. Many of the girls today aren't near the same quality and the services are obviously much more expensive.
