Advice is hard to give. It depends on your preferences. You should read the Stickman Bangkok newsletter. However most advice here is for the long time traveller.

Advice I would give is….. 1. be selective with the ladies… 2. Negotiate upfront…3. Stay sober if possible.

Realise that you will be treated as a cash cow and they will try to milk you.

Bangkok can be a great party town. Have lots of fun.

The Songran water festival is coming soon. Will you be there then? Soi Cowboy can also be great at night and it is loads of fun during the daytime during Songran.

should have done some research my friend- if you got time check out International sex guide, Stickman bangkok, Tripadvisor for sightseeing.
You asked for tips and tricks - if you do research you will come across many esp the tricks. My one tip - don't trust anyone., trust your gut.
Punting quick tips - know your prices, cover up, stay SOBER enough to make good decisions, negotiate specifics, Use the safe - lock away important shit, don't buy too many ladydrinks, ALWAYS pay afterwards, remember you are dealing with professional scammers - if anything seems dodgy - bail. A matter of fact if I feel anything negative, suss or she wants to dictate I'm out - remember there are thousands more.
4 days sightseeing - personally I would skip the ping pong show - my recommendations Grand Palace & River Cruise, Lumpini Thai Box, MBK / Central World ( shopping) Chatuchak maybe use BTS Skytrain, SeaLife.
Depending where you are coming from you will have a 8/9/10 hr flight from Aust- on the plane do your reseach.
Failing to plan is planning to fail.

You have to check out one of the rooftop bars or restaurants in Bangkok at least one evening. You'll mostly see foreigners at these places unless they have Thai company with them since local Thais can't afford to go to such places.

i was in Thailand in October/November last year, so still very fresh what is going on, the Australian $$ is not doing so well against the Thai baht so things will be expensive so keep in mind after conversion you looking at 21 baht to the $1
during the day go see the temples and Grand palace, catch a cab you will appreciate the air-condition, go to the malls, MBK is good as i stayed at the Pathumwan Princes next door, some good eats inside, shopping is like Market City Sydney, you will find a few copy watches but nothing that great.
if you have time do a night dinner cruise to see the sights along the river as everything will be lit up,
At Nana you will find some market style fakes along the street i got some LV belts 4 for $1000 baht, but its right near Korean town and the Arabic district where you can get some great food,
the Action at Nana, there are lots of girl along the street but make shore they are girls, as there are a lot of lady boys too and when i mean a lot of ladyboys i mean a lot of ladyboys
if you want a cheap soapy massage go to woodbar, the management also run chrome bar and Dr Bjs which are just across the road from each other
but if you want a luxury package go to Daisy Dream

Nah, I don't agree.
I have no trouble finding something acceptable that I want inside Thermae.
The trick is not to be openly aggressive, and also not look to be a window shopper only.
The gogo or bargirl approach does not work at all in there.

There are two successful approaches with these girls, and both let them do the selecting, in a way so to speak.

First way, is to slowly go around the room, let girls approach you, say hello, and keep walking until you have done a circuit.
Then stop and make eye contact with the ones that have expressed an interest in you, then approach.

The second one is to use Japanese style tactics, slowly, shyly, walk the room, looking, then stop and stand in a place, or two.
Look at the girl(s) you've seen and that you're interested in and wait for her to see you looking, then return to look at you, then hold eye contact with you.

They are both good. However I prefer Bangkok. Yes. Pattaya is very transactional, as is Nana Plaza in Bangkok.
Its all transactional but I have had better “relationships” with women that I have found in Bangkok. Pattaya is a bit fly in and fly out for the girls.

Pattaya itself is a bit disappointing. The beach is not clean. There are more things to do in Bangkok. Other good places are Hua Hin and Phuket. As mentioned, it depends on what you are looking for.

Phuket is nicer but more expensive than Patts or Bangkok. To me Bangkok has a more laid back feel, get out of the Suk Rd/ Nana/Cowboy area and its more like semi normal life.
A guy said he was recently paying 4000 for ST in Patts for a quick fuck, Stunners for " 5000-8000bhat for LT and barfine is around 1500-2500bhat now."
Not paying those prices- decent pickings can be had for 2000 TB for ST ( not bar girl) in Bangkok. Full service massage Hua Hin for 1000 TB.

Work trips are great and something that has funded my punting career for many years. I do suggest you fully investigate your company's travel allowance policy and get the daily travel rate paid at the ATO approved rate which is not taxed and doesn't require receipts. For ATO 2023-24 Thailand i (https://www.ato.gov.au/law/view/pdf/pbr/td2023-003.pdf)s $235 / day not including accommodations. That's a lot of fun there when food can cost you <$10/meal and that you don't go punting everyday leaving you 9000B/day for activity.

I have not had issues with girls being recorded on my room. Actually not even asked for ID. Assuming you are staying alone please always do a foyer check or offsite meet and greet.

If needed you can also book a separate (low cost) hotel where you can have your wicked way your nubile catches. The most cost effective way though is to use the company paid hotel.

Daytime you will easily find on TF app limiting location distance. You might find it easier to explore friendly massage places where you can have your fun at their joint.

As a work trip you do want to be reasonably organised. So your smorgasbord for your work trip can include:

- daytime visits to massage shops
- followup calls to numbers you collected from freelancers
- TF girls
- wechat nearby


Please do have separate line/fb/number for your punting. It's so nice to jet out, ditch the eSIM, delete the apps and no follow-up.

If you will be making regular work trips to Bangkok then keep a short list of reliable providers but do not try to keep in contact while you are back here.

I just returned from a work trip to Bangkok and Pattaya. It’s a buyers market at the moment. Not many foreigners. Pattaya is offering great value on Soi Buakhou and Soi Chaiyapoon. The go go bars on walking street have absolutely beautiful women but they aren’t great value and are very commercial. The women on Soi Cowboy in Bangkok seem older and have been around the block a few times.

I'll do you one better, I'm in the middle building a blog site like Stickman but applicable to Japan as a central location for all this knowledge and make it more navigable for people who don't speak the language or aren't integrated into the culture in the same way I am.

At this early stage I've just thrown a few ARs up here to gauge this forum's attitude as punting tours in Japan are my business and I don't plan on direct posting all my hard earned knowledge to a forum that gatekeeps/talks down to newbies and tolerates the kind of abusive behaviour I've seen in this thread.... and I'm certainly not going to drop everything today and summarise 20 years of punting to satisfy you after the way you've spoken to me. Send your "dogs" at me all you like, nobody's scared of a chihuahua. Funnily enough if you hadn't chewed up most of the time I had available for this forum this week by jumping in to save your dad's live-in lover then I probably would have gotten a much more useful post up, but you did a great job of making sure the forum got this drivel instead.

If you want to learn about punting in Japan, feel free to follow my posts over time and join the blog when it launches later this year. This thread is about Thailand so let's get it back on topic for OP.

No you don't believe me. You do not speak for everyone, you speak for yourself.

You can tout your negative attitude all you want, and you can hurl abuse because you wish you had the skills/intelligence/commitment to do something similar, but it won't go anywhere as you've demonstrated the only way you are capable of bringing yourself up is to try and bring other people down. Time always reveals the truth, I'll message you an invite when the site goes live later this year.. until then, you can hang out on my ignore list.
