Was passing by this shop yesterday evening on a slightly longer than 5km exercise journey and noticed the lights on, blinds down, with definite motion occurring inside the shop.

Got me wondering if perhaps they're allowing certain regulars to stop by? Or perhaps some of the sex workers struggling since the lockdown have taken up residence?

Probably a lot of shops with girls in residence, or maybe the boss doing a bit of housework. This happened last year.

Could you tell the motion is vertical or horizontal?

This is true. Even pubs / hotels do it. They may allow staff to live on site to help them out. The rooms are a bit run down but still livable.

yeah with alot of the workers being students i'd say its very likely, the fine is too excessive for anyone to really do anything
