Have been using locanto in Melbourne for many years. Lots of good ads there. But in NSW can't find anything similar. Many ads with fake photos and lool dodgy.

Most definitely, Locanto has a real problem with ad legitimacy. It does have some redeeming features. In cases where you can cross reference ads across services, being able to lookup the age of the advertisers account can be a plus. It offers a better location search than some of the others. You can also usually figure out if the advertiser is an agency.

But yes, finding a genuine ad requires you to find one that has been present for months.

Most of the 3rd party listing sites like Locanto, Crockor, Skokka etc and full of fakes.

Escorts and Babes is one of the more reliable ones, although even it has seen an influx of fakes in recent years.

There are syndicates that girls sign up to on message apps, like wechat. They basically work as digital pimps for the girls.

These syndicates spam generic ads across escort listing sites. They will post HUNDREDS of ads with different combinations of titles and descriptions. With images ripped of social networks or porn sites.

If they get a bite, they message the chat group of girls they have and organise the booking with which ever girl is available. Or whoever puts their hand up first.

This method is particularly prominent amongst asian communities as they have many women (students etc) who cannot speak english. So it's easier for them to sign up to the group (pay whatever fee is required) and let somebody else do the talking.

That's partly why you see so many fake ads associated with asian girls.

I had a WL fess up to me about it. I actually met her in a shop. But she said she was doing occasional private bookings through a wechat group. She said she paid a fee to get access. Someone would post enquiries to the group as they came through. Then girls would respond if they were interested. After I found out about it I asked a few other girls (shop and private) if they knew anything. Most of the Asian girls knew about it, even if they weren't doing it. And said it was quite common.

So yeah. Many of those 3rd party listing sites are dominated by these syndicates. It's why 90% of the ads are fake unfortunately. It's become a pretty big black market. And it's relatively unpoliced. So they get away with it.

I used some of those sites many years ago. Before the fakes took over. A lot of legit local girls would advertise on them. These days you're better off just going to a shop and asking to see a lineup.

That all makes sense how their system works.

I've sent messages to numbers and inevitably got a reply from another number. So there is no chance that the girl who replies is going to be the girl in the pictures in the ad.

At the moment there is an ad for a girl supposedly at Dubbo and Albury at the same time. Ive been caught out by fake privates too many times. Over the years I've found a few genuine privates so now I just stick to them or if I get the chance visit a shop and choose a girl that appeals to me.

I'm over turning up at a motel or apartment and realising I've had the old bait and switch pulled on me.

I didn't know this for sure but had a guess that this is how it should work behind the scenes.

It's probably possible to figure these guys out. They tend to reuse mobile numbers, advertiser accounts and post multiple ads. Advertiser accounts are valuable since I think people do look at when the account was created. It does however look like many have created a whole bunch of accounts in the past that they recycle.

They also seem to be sourcing photos from places which are harder to track down. On the plus side, they tend to reuse them so scrolling through a few pages or looking up another city is an easy way to weed out a whole bunch of those.

One worrying trend I've noticed is that sometimes advertiser pages on Locanto don't actually show their current ads. Clicking on an ad shows just the original one but not others that are in fact current as well. I'm not sure if that's a bug in Locanto, a feature or some obscure functionality.

Who says I spend too much time on Locanto! :D

Had a good one the other day. Sent a message to a number advertising a girl in my local town. I wasn't expecting or planning a punt did it more to see what would happen.

I didn't mention in my message where I was from. So back comes the reply.... "What city are you in?"
I didn't say where I was but asked "where are you?"
"Hobart" was the reply.
"Too bad" I replied. Then added that I was in Dubbo.
Straight away they come back with "sorry.....typed wrong. I in Dubbo now" Then gave an address.

Obviously I was talking with an agent and once they knew where I was they were going to put me onto one of their girls who they had in my town.
I could have said I was in any other largish country town and I am sure they would have had a girl there.

This is the reason I don't even bother with Locanta any more. I've been caught too many times.

The odd cauc WL who uses E&B or the local papers are the safest bets in country areas. Usually older and a bit expensive though.

Should have replied, "oh sorry I mean Dublin... we call it Dubbo around here" ;) Might as well play their game.
